An important sight to visit is the “Goldenes Dachl” roof of the
former Court Lodge, with thousands of gilded copper plates.
Another very impressive sight you should not miss is the marble sarcophagus
of Kaiser Maximilian in the “Hofkirche”. The statue is encircled
by 28 big bronze figures.
Further you can visit the Imperial Palace, the Tyrolean provincial Museum Ferdinandeum
and Ambras Castle which represents Austria’s largest and most beautiful
Renaissance building with antiques, master art pieces and curiosities of the
past.
As in the other Austrian cities music and theater performances are of great
interest and you can enjoy them during the whole year.
