Tourist Guide Lech
Lech, a small village and ski resort in the district of Bludenz, is located in Vorarlberg, Austria. The city, with its extensive ski area, is one of the most visited winter destinations. With a population of around 1,500 inhabitants, Lech is one of the most popular and expensive Austrian resorts.
The city of Lech has a dry, cold climate, characterised by sunny summer days and cold days with a fair amount of rainfall during winter. ‘Corn snow’ is prominent during spring time.
A former farming village, Lech witnessed immense economic progress as skiing gained popularity; soon, the area developed into a well known winter resort bringing in more than one million tourists a year.
