With 160 km of well made skiing tracks, Radstadt boasts of one of the largest and most stunning cross-country areas of the Salzburger Sportwelt Amadé. The city offers trekking trails accentuated by traditional mountain inns and culminating in breathtaking views of the Alpine slopes. Other activities include tennis, tobogganing, biking, horse-riding and skating. Splendid aquatic fun is assured at the heated Alpine Open-Air Pool.
The most important structure is the town Parish Church. In the churchyard, there stands a ‘lantern of the dead’, popularly known as the Schustersäule or ‘Shoemakers’ Column’. The local museum in Schloss Lerchen, the Capuchin Church, the Millennium Trail and the Lerchen castle are also worth a visit.
The town also hosts a multitude of colourful cultural festivals, including Harvest Festival, Mountain Festival, the historic Gardefest, the Dumpling Fest and a vintage car meet.
