Tourist Guide Saalbach
Saalbach, popularly known as Saalbach-Hinterglemm, is a municipality situated in the district of Zell Am See. Located in the state of Salzburg in Austria, Saalbach is known as a winter sport destination. With a population of around 1,800 inhabitants, the city is home to fun and adventure.
The city of Saalbach has a dry, cold climate, characterised by three seasons: summer, winter and autumn. The temperature usually stays low during summer while winter is characterised by sunny days. Warm winds are prominent during autumn.
The region is believed to have been inhabited since 1222. The city remained unknown till about the twentieth century, and the city’s name was changed from Saalbach to Saalbach-Hinterglemm in 1987.
