In Salzburg you can visit the Fortress of Hohensalzburg which is over 900 years old is said to be one of the best preserved Medieval Fortress all over Europe. Another very famous building is the city’s most impressive church St. Sebastian, built in the Gothic style.
Salzburg is also the home of music. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was born in Salzburg
and lived here. Thanks to the keenness for music of the Archbishops, Salzburg
was a common stop for musicians all over the world and fortunately this tradition
has gone forward over the centuries. Today Salzburg is still known for its annual
Festival “Salzburger Festspiele” which offers a diversity of operas,
concerts and theater plays.
Further the city is a popular place for musical and theatrical education and
its schools are attended from many students all over the world.
