Salzburg city is situated at the northern edge of the alps and it experiences typical Central European climate having hot summers with 40 degree Celsius and cold winters with – 20 degrees Celsius. Most of the year, the city has almost moderate weather conditions and one can plan his trip any time of the year. However, the crowds peak when there are any festivals or such events especially in the month of July, August and December.
