The Belvedere Palace is a baroque palace complex which was built by Prince Eugene of Savoy in the third district of Vienna to the south east side of the city. It is home to the Osterreichische Galerie Belvedere museum. The palace land was bought in 1667 by Prince Eugene. He created a park and also built a palace which began as a suburban entertainment villa. This palace is right in the heart of Vienna and is also the most significant art gallery and home to der Kuss, painted by Gustav Klimt.
