The Imperial Palace in Vienna, Austria has housed many powerful people in the Austrian history, like the Habsburg dynasty and the Austro-Hungarian empire rulers. Presently, this historic building serves as the official residence of the President of Austria.
From 1438 to 1583 and from 1612 to 1806, it has been the seat of the many kings and emperors of the Holy Roman Empire of the German Nation after which it was the seat of the Emperor of Austria till 1918.
