St. Peter’s Church is the oldest Christian sacred site in Vienna and was built in the second half of the 4rth century. As per a legend, Charlemagne founded a bigger church in 792. The present church of St. Peter was constructed by Gabriel Montani from 1702 to 1708. It was finished by Hildebrandt in 1732.
