Stephansdom or the St. Stephen’s Cathedral is the mother church of the Archdiocese of Vienna. This is also the seat of the Archbishop of Vienna with its Romanesque and Gothic architectural work even seen today.
Initiated by Rudolf IV, it stands on the ruins of two earlier churches. Consecrated in 1147, this historic building is a must visit for a tourist in his to do list.
This place has borne witness to numerous significant events in the history of the nation.
