Mumok is abbreviated as “the Museum MOderner Kunst”, or the Museum of Modern Art. Situated in the Museumquartier in Vienna, Austria, Mumok is a worth visiting place. The museum has a good collection of 7,000 modern as well as contemporary art works, which includes major works from Pablo Picasso, Roy Lichtenstein, Joseph Beuys and some more. Other than these works, there are around 230 pieces or artworks which were donated in 1981 by an art lover and German industrialist, Peter Ludwig and his wife Irene to the museum. Moreover, the museum organizes in regular basis special exhibitions, popularly having a large collection of art that are related to Viennese Actionism.
