Technisches Museum Wien or the Vienna Museum of Technology is located in the Austrian city of Vienna. It lies at the Mariahilfer Straße 112, 1140 in Wien. This is a 22,000 sq. meters spread exhibition space.
This museum offers an enthralling journey into the world of modern technology. Visitors can get hands - on experience of the latest technologies. The museum is spread across four different levels.
Some of the technologies date back to historical times. This was the time when some technologies were just immerging. Visitors can see how these technologies got developed over time. The museum has displayed numerous such technologies in an attractive way.
The display of specimen is accompanied with films and texts. Visitors are also given a live demonstration of a particular device. These technologies are the witnesses of economical, cultural and social evolution of Vienna.
The museum remains open from 9 am to 6 pm on Monday to Friday. It is closed on Monday.
