Even though Wiener Neustadt is a small city it has been of great attraction due to its significant places. The Romanesque Dom which was constructed and developed in 1279 is the famous historic monument situated in the heart of the city. The artistic church of St. Peter, which was erected in the 13th century was modified in the seventeenth century and is now used for exhibitions. The Military Academy which was constructed in the past is used as a residential place for the retired officers from the military. The famous museums here are the Communal Museum, the Hospital museum and the Mineralogical museum which clearly denote the ancient civilization of the city. This city is the best to have a look at the actual view of the civilizations that have been existing since the course of time because the structure and looks of this city has remained the same since many past centuries. This is one of the best examples of historic cities in Austria.
