One of the most interesting landmarks of the city is the Cathedral of St. Franciscus Xaver (built around the seventeenth century) that stands tall at 50 m at Batory Square. Other spectacular tourist attractions include the Orthodox Cathedral as well as the Kolozha Church of Saints Boris and Gleb (distinguished with polychrome faceted blue, green and red stones) which is said to be the oldest existing monument of the city and a good example of Black Ruthenium architecture.

The Grodno TV Tower is another structure with a unique design. It is more than 250 m tall and has a very curiously shaped top. Grodno also houses the only zoo in Belarus and is home to the Belavezhskaya Pushcha National Park which is on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

When in Grodno, visit historical castles like the Mir Castle and Red Castle as well as the more popular Novogrudok Castle ruins which is a typical grey-stoned reminder of the architecture of the yesteryears.
