Museum of the great patriotic war - Museums in Minsk

Museum of the great patriotic war is situated at pr Nezavisimosti 25A, Minsk and is a war related museum which is open daily from 10-5 except on Monday.

This museum provides an opportunity to know more about devastating effect of the war on the region.

There are 28 rooms which graphically exhibit the horrors of World War II and the obsession of the city with this great Patriotic War which affected the lives of several people in the city of Minsk.

The collections include a number of weapons, underground trophies, paintings and drawings of professional artists, documents, photographs.

At present the museum holds over 137,000 displays including auxiliary material and the collection increases by 1000 specimens on an annual basis.
