Tourist Guide Aalst
The first historical records on Aalst dates back to 9th century when it was known as the villa Alost dependent on the Abbey of Lobbes. During the middle ages, a town and a port grew at this point. This city suffered a lot under the Eighty Years War from 1568 to 1648.
