There is popular St. Martin’s Collegiate Church built in Gothic style and dates back to 1480. There are paintings by Rubens in the church and has a beautiful tabernacle dated back to 1605. There is the belfry in the town hall which is considered as one of the oldest and the most handsome of Flanders and it contains a 52 bell carillon. There is also the statue of Dirk Martens who was the first book printer in the Netherlands.
