The Royal Museum of Fine Arts was founded in 1810 and has a number of collections of sculptures, paintings and even drawings from the 14th to the 20 centuries. These collections are kept at the neoclassical building and this museum became an institution of the Flemish Community in 1992. The museum has around 109 works of Rik Wouters, donations from Dr. Ludo van Bogaert-Shield in 1989 of 13 paintings, 36 watercolors and drawings and many other collections too.
