While visiting Bruges one can visit the churches and basilicas here which are serene and wonderful pieces of Gothic architecture. Our Lady’s Church has the highest tower in the city which can be observed from afar while viewing the city from a distance.
The work of art and its medieval structure is what is most attractive. The imposing tower is the second highest in Belgium after the cathedral of Antwerp.
The attraction here is Michelangelo’s Madonna made by the Italian artist out of marble, the tombstone of Mary of Burgundy and her father Charles the bold.
There is a painting of the Last Supper inside the church along with a few Flemish paintings from the sixteenth century. The church has influences of the Romanesque style which were later supplemented by the Gothic and contemporary styles.
