The Groeninge Museum is even called as the city museum of Fine Arts. The collections of the museum started in the early period of the 18th century but the building itself are recent. The collection of the museum dates back from 1929 to 1930. These collections span many centuries of work from the 14th century to the 20th century and focuses on works by painters who had lived and worked in Bruges city.
