Stadsschouwburg Theater was built in 1869 and was recently renovated. This theater was the principal venue for theater, music and dance events in the city. It was rebuilt as ultramodern Concertgebouw in 2002. This theater is a neo-renaissance theatre and is situated in the former quarter of Hansa and has been recently restored. There are red and gold seats which got the name La Bonbonniere.
