St. Michael and St. Gudula Cathedral is situated at the Treurenberg hill in Brussels. Founded in 1047 by Lambert II, Count of Leuven, this cathedral was renovated in Gothic style in the thirteenth century. The choir of the cathedral was constructed between 1226 and 1276. The façade got completed in the mid fifteenth century. The south side of the tower has a 49 bell carillon on which Sunday concerts are given.
