The Museum voor Natuurwetenschappen (The Museum of Natural Science) was founded in 1846, and is located on Rue Vautier in Brussels, Belgium. In 1948 it was dubbed as the Royal Belgian Institute of Natural Sciences. This popular tourist institution is known for its stimulating exhibits and exciting collections.
Since its inception, the museum has featured a wide range of displays, including an ancient monastery near Leopold Park and skeletons of an unknown type of dinosaur. In 1950, some modern exhibition halls and classrooms were added to the building in order to study and preserve the incoming collections. At Museum voor Natuurwetenschappen, visitors can check out paleontological excavation sites, learn how the dinosaurs lived, and discover various theories on how they may have gone extinct.
When you visit this museum, you can enjoy a drink between exhibits at the Dino Café, or buy an original memento in the gift shop. This is a great place for families to go to in order to learn more about the natural wonders of the Earth. As Museum voor Natuurwetenschappen has been around for an extremely long time, it can probably tell you more than a normal history museum can. This great opportunity to geek out!
