Reviews Budget Night
Budget Night
Brussels can be experienced glamorously if you have the money for a lavish outing, but if you’re working with a tight to medium sized budget, the city can still offer just as much excitement and entertainment in your price range.
The Place du Jeu de Balle flea market has many cheap trinkets for sale that can be purchased as a testament to your authentic Belgian experience. If you have a sweet tooth, but don’t want to go to an expensive chocolate shop, visit Neuhaus or Galler for sensibly priced biscuits and chocolate candies. If you are in Brussels on the first Wednesday of the month, then you can satisfy the artist inside you by visiting the Museum of Modern Art or the Museum of Ancient Art, as admission is free all day long.
For some beautiful scenery, go have a seat at the rooftop café of the Musical Instruments Museum. It presents a spectacular view of the city as well as a place to rest for a bit. After that take a stroll to Grand Place, where you can find places to get waffles, a kebab, or more chocolates for around €2 a piece from the Rue du Marche aux Fromages.
