Known for having the best nightlife in the city of Brussels, Belgium, Place St. Géry is located right near Grand Place in the center of town, and is often referred to as “Student Heaven.” Hip and trendy, Place St. Géry is where the young people flock at night to kick back after a hard week of hitting the books.
There are many options, but some of the most popular bars in the area include Mapa Mundo, Zebra, and Le Roi des Belges. Place St. Géry is where people head to grab a drink after work, but it is also where late-night partiers go let loose. The area boasts several conspicuous pubs, music venues, bars, dance clubs, and cafés (in case you need to sit down for a moment to recharge in between bar hopping excursions).
This area is also home to Halles St. Géry, a particularly large hall used for special events. Featured on one of the venue’s huge walls is a portrait of Brussels that illustrates how the city has grown over time. When going out for the night in Place St. Géry, be sure to use the buddy system and prepare for an authentic evening of Belgian entertainment!
