There are some housing complex which was built for the Bois-du-Luc coal workers during the 19th century which has been restored as a historic place. One of these houses can be visited with other museums that retrace the history of the coal mining industry in the Center region.
One can visit the Carnival of the city which is called Laetare, in Latin, which means to enjoy. It is for three consecutive days from Sunday to Tuesday and takes place in the middle of Lent. There is also the Brulage des Bosses, which means the burning of the humps celebration, where a puppet is dressed as a Gilles and is burnt to symbolize the end of the carnival and the beginning of the new life.
