Sarajevo is the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina and a huge urban city.

The city consists of four parts, the Old City, the New City, the Centre and New Sarajevo.

Bashcharshiya is the primary market place and it is situated in Old Sarajevo.

There are several shops here consisting of handicraft, pottery, metalwork and jewellery.

The most ancient street here is the Coppersmith Street which was previously a part of the copper craft guild. One can find a number of souvenir items, copper items and other traditional items which were made using special ancient techniques followed by generations.

The Cathedral of Jesus’ Sacred Heart is situated down the street just outside Bashcharshiya.
