The Man and Earth Museum is located in the Bulgarian capital city Sofia. This is one of the largest museums in the world dedicated exclusively to mineralogy.
The museum was opened in the year 1985. It is spread across an area of 4, 000 sq. meters. The museum holds enormous number of exhibition halls. These are also inclusive of conference rooms, video rooms, laboratories and stock premises.
Here, visitors can see a wide collection of minerals. This collection covers nearly 40 % of the minerals that are known to man. These minerals are inclusive of precious stones and gems.
Besides this, one can even see a wide variety of ceramics in this museum. These ceramics are made by the scientists from Bulgaria.
This museum lies at 2, Cherni Vrah Blvd in Sofia, Bulgaria. The museum remains open from 10 am to 6 pm on Tuesday through Saturday.
It remains closed on Monday and Sunday.
