Varna is the third largest city in Bulgaria and has a number of seaside resorts with beautiful sandy beaches in the northern part of the city. Golden Sands is a popular sea resort which has beaches which are three and a half km in length and hundred meters in width. The resort is fifty years old and has seventy hotels.
Sunny Beach is a large resort with eight km long beaches which has a number of bars, restaurants and nightclubs on site. St. Constantine and Elena is one of the oldest resorts which has numerous parks, and beaches. The Varna beach is 460 km from Sofia and can be accessed in a number of ways either by sea, air or rail.
The Varna beach is also named as ‘gem of the Bulgarian Black Sea’. There are a number of activities which can be enjoyed by tourists here. This includes the Seaside Park, the Aquarium, the Navy museum, the Dolphinarium, the Seaside baths and the museum of natural history.
