Things to Do in Pula: attractions to See in Pula

Pula: Attractions and more...

The city is most famous for its many well-preserved examples of ancient Roman architecture, the best known being its first century amphitheatre. Known locally as ‘Arena’, it is one of the finest from antiquity and functions today as a venue for summer film festivals.

Other notable ancient Roman structures are the Arch of the Sergii (1st century) and the Temple of Rome and Augustus, built by the Roman emperor of that name.

Ancient Roman paving stones form the surface of the narrow streets the city's old quarter, which today are lined with buildings from the Medieval and Renaissance periods.

Pula is an internationally popular summer vacation destination due to the azure waters of the Adriatic and the naturally beautiful surrounding countryside. The magnificent coast offers beaches, fishing, diving and sailing

Brijuni National Park lies nearby, where Josip Broz Tito had his summer residence.
