Ethnographic Museum is situated at Old Rupa 3, Old Town in Dubrovnik and is open daily from 9 to 13 hours except on Sunday.
This is a museum which contains exhibits relating to agriculture and was founded in 1919 when a new permanent display was started with five thousand exhibits spread across 3 floors of the museum.
This permanent exhibition includes the traditions, customs, cultural heritage and the economic condition of Dubrovnik. There are eighty thousand treasures as well as objects belonging to the Croatian and other indigenous cultures from other parts of the world.
The museum is housed in an ancient granary which was built in 1542 to 1590 and has 15 huge storage chambers engraved in the rocks which have an average temperature of 17.5° C.
