The diversity of Croatian cuisine can be experienced with the Kulen and Kulenova Seka (which are spicy sausages), Kroštule (crunchy pastries), Sarma (sauerkraut rolls with minced pork and rice), Gorski Kotar (ham with eggs and bread), Janjetina (roast lamb with Mediterranean herbs) and Strukli (pasta filled with cheese) served with flat bread called Lepinje.
Local drinks include wines like Bevanda, Cedevita sherbets and the rare Sok Od Bazge (elderberry juice).
