The Hvar Fortress is worth visiting as it offers some of the comprehensive perspective of the town. There is also some rare collection of weapons including cannons that were used in the historic periods. This beautiful Fortress was constructed by the Illirians some 2000 years ago. One can reach the fort by foot and it is a great walk to see the panorama of the Fortress from outside.
