In the main square stands the Kvadrac tower and the Parish Church of Sts. Philip and James. This church was refurbished in the seventeenth century in the Baroque style.
The town’s cultural heritage is very well maintained. The Roman fortress of Lopsica, the Paulist friar’s monastery, the Frankopen Citadel and the Chapel of the Holy Trinity preserve the city’s folklore.
Novi Vinodolski offers five bike routes, Blue, Green, Carmine, Yellow and Brown, which take you around the city and to scenic spots on the city’s outskirts.
The Carnival and the Urban Lyrics Festival in July and the Ružica Vinodola Festival in August are highlights in the city’s events calendar that runs from May to December.
Hunting and fishing are popular tourist attractions. A visit to the Vinodol vineyards and sunset boat excursions to the islands of Krk, Rab and Goli come highly recommended.
