Pakostane’s pride is its nature tourism opportunities. The city has four nature parks and two main bicycle paths that circle round the Vransko Lake Nature Park. The first one is 38 km long and goes to Biograd. The second one is 43 km long and passes through the villages of Vrana, Radašinovci and Banjevci.
Traditional feasts and events include the carnival and feast of Krizi after Easter, Municipal Day in July and the Summer Festival in August.
The more laid back can choose between the different 2 km long mountain walking paths, settling into a lazy afternoon of fishing or swimming under the Krka River’s waterfall. The Paklenica cliffs and the Plitvicka Jezera Lake will make an incredible memory of sheer mountain beauty.
If you enjoy good food then the city has its share of local cheese, smoked ham and Dalmatian wines. If you have more time on your hands, an excursion to the Kornati Islands is highly recommended.
