The Pentagonal Tower was built in 1447 by Niccolo Lion to defend for the city walls that were later dismantled at the beginning of the 19th century. High on the tower, there is a cartouche having a winged lion engraved in the front side of the wall. This is the testimony of the presence of Venice in Porec. There are many tourists that frequently visit the city and view the tower and click pictures too.
