Salonae is a town in Dalmatia in Croatia. It is located almost 8 kilometers to the northeast of Split city on the Adriatic Sea and the Jadro River. It was once the capital of the Roman Empire in Dalmatia. Solin as it is known is to the north of the Split peninsula and in a basin surrounded completely by Kozjak Mountain to its north and Mosor to its east. It has eight neighborhoods.

The streets and buildings are very old. From Diocletian's time. Some street were rebuilt about 5/6 years ago, but most are still from roman times. The houses are made of rocks and boulders. The town closest to Split is were I live - Vucervica. It's very rural there. It's beautiful in both places. Explore the Croatian life here.
