The Archeological Museum is a famous museum in the Croatian city of Zagreb. It is located at the 19, Nikola Subic Zrinski Square.
This museum consists of a huge collection of 400,000 monuments, artifacts and objects which have witnessed different time periods in the past. These objects are gathered from various regions across the globe.
Some of the archeological pieces like oldest inscription of Etruscan, Zagreb mummy and Egyptian collection are peak attractions in the museum. It also consists of spectacular compilation of numismatic documents, which is the largest across Europe.
This is the sole museum in Croatia which mainly focuses on the Croatian history. Besides these, one can see a spectacular collection of Roman and Greek artifacts.
The permanent exhibits display nearly 78, 000 pieces of archaeological importance. Check out the ancient objects used from the Early Stone Age.
The museum remains open from 10 am to 5 pm from Tuesday to Sunday. It is closed on Monday.
