This museum display archaeological artifacts from all over the island. Some of them are 8,500 years old. The museum collection range from the Neolithic, to the Bronze Age, the Hellenic Period, the Mycenaean times, and Roman Period.
The Cyprus Museum is situated at Mouseiou 1, Lefkosia in Cyprus and is open daily from 9 to 5 except on Sundays from 10 to 13 hours.
The museum displays objects and work of art dating back from the Neolithic Age to the Roman period and has a grand collection of Cypriot antiques and treasures from the early Byzantine age.
The attractions within the museum include Room one which has Neolithic Artifacts from around the island, Room two includes the Bronze Age with many vases and jugs, Room three includes Mycenean Artifacts from Kourion and the Roman and Hellenistic period, Room four has Votive figures, Room five and six has a sculpture gallery, Room seven has a limestone female statue and a huge bronze statue of the emperor, Room eight has Egyptian Amulets, Room nine has Tombs, Room ten has votive inscriptions and Room eleven has impressive items from Salamis.
