Things to Do in Pano Platres: attractions to See in Pano Platres

Pano Platres: Attractions and more...

The cool temperatures allow you to travel the countryside on foot. The Mesapotamos Trail and the Millomeris Trail are popular nature trails in the area. The rest of the natural attractions, including the Caledonian Waterfalls, the Prodomos Reservoir and the viewing points of Artemis and Persephone can also be reached by foot.

Those still looking for more adventure can also mountain hike the rugged Madhari Area Nature Trail that leads up to Mt. Adelphi, the second highest peak in Cyprus. Since most of the visitors to the town are day-trippers, there are only seven hotels but a large number of convenience stores. The Skylight Restaurant comes well recommended.

Cultural August involves a series of guided tours, exhibitions and concerts in the town’s main square. The Cyprus Classic Car Rally is organised here during July. The Kykkos Monastery Museum is another famous Troodos Mountains sight that is not far from here.
