Tomb of the Kings is an ancient Greek burial site dating back to 300 BC.

It was given this name as it is believed that this is the final resting place of around one hundred Ptolemaic nobles.

The tombs, made out of solid rock, are striking. A few of the tombs are accessed via stairs which lead to the sunken courts surrounded by Doric columns.

Previously the tombs had stucco finished walls covered with frescos. They were also used as dwellings or workplaces. There are passages which lead to the rooms where bodies, dressed in expensive clothes, were buried.

Eighteen burials from the Hellenistic period have been excavated by archaeologists, two of which contained Rhodian amphorae, an ointment urn and a myrtle garland of gold.

This ancient Greek burial site lies to the northwest of Paphos heading towards Coral Bay in Cyprus.
