Platres: Attractions and more...

The Fountain of Roxanne Koudounari, on Caledonia Street, is a marble monument that sits with the mountains as its background. The Waterfall of Millomeri, in the southeast of the village, is 15 m high and has only become accessible in recent years. The Tall Tree region is considered the most beautiful area of Platres. It is located in the northeast of the village next to the Krios Potamos, or Cold River, and is famous for its trout farm.

The region of St. Irene, north-east of the village, on the road from the Tall Tree region to the Mesa Potamos, or Inner River, offers a panoramic view of the village.

The Cyprus Classic Car Rally is organised in the neighbouring village of Pano Platres during July.

The Kykkos Monastery Museum is another famous Troodos Mountains sight that is not far from here. The small village of Kato Platres is also nearby.
