Tokhni is the perfect getaway from all the oversized resorts and overcrowded beaches of the area. The village square is the centre of life in Tokhni, which houses a well-stocked supermarket and quaint little coffee shops.

A popular tourist choice of accommodation here is the Vasilikos House, which is a complex of individually-designed lodgings on a hill. Other charming hotels include Adamos House, Skarinou Villa and Archondia House.

Head over to the two most visited buildings of the village: Tokhni House (which exhibits traditional Cypriot housing designs) and the Cyprus Villages Reception (an important group whose aim is to preserve the culture of Cyprus’ small villages). Both these buildings offer a spectacular view of the countryside and the village. You can also see the century-old church of Saints Constantinos & Eleni in the town centre.

Tokhni is also conveniently close to many of Cyprus’s sandy white beaches.
