Reviews Capuchin Monastery and Vault
Capuchin Monastery and Vault
This is a burial place where monks were mummified accidently several years ago. It has an underground system of tunnels with ventilation holes which allow air to circulate and keep the atmosphere dry. The mummy of Baron Trenk is a famous mythological figure in Brno, whose figure lies here along with other figures related to the history of Brno. In 1787 the emperor Joseph II prohibited the burying of bodies in this place.
