Chodová Planá: Attractions and more...
Chodová Planá is home to the oldest brewery in the region. In spring is the festive opening of the beer season, and summer brings with it the beer feast. The brewery opened in 1573 and is itself, a tourist attraction. Other than the beer and the healing waters, it also has a restaurant that is in the old brewery cellars, cut into the old granite bedrock centuries ago. The brewery also has its own museum located in the cellars.
Those with a desire to explore the nearby regions should visit the ski resort of Mariánské Lázně, the Romanesque-Gothic Teplá Monastery and the other spa areas of Carlsbad and Marienbad.
For a bit of rest and relaxation, make sure to treat yourself to a soak in a beer spa, as much for its healing properties as for its sense of adventure. Visitors could enjoy beer baths as well as beer massages. Whether a beer lover or a teetotaller, a visit during the summer to be a part of the beer feast is a must.
