Just the sound of Czech food has the potential to make your mouth water. So when you go out looking for traditional chow in Prague, keep an eye and an ear out for places that serve goulash, roast pork, duck, wild boar & other special dishes, along with Czech beer & Moravian wine. Mmmm!
Bily Konicek Restaurant is located in the beautiful 12th century medieval cellar of one of the houses in Old Town. Fresh furnishings and dark woods are creatively placed into this historic setting. Some of its servings include traditional Prague beef goulash, slow-roasted old Bohemian pork knuckle, and pork or chicken schnitzel. If you’re looking for something with a little bit of an older feel, head toward Medieval Tavern, as its large and hearty entrees reflect its name. The popular dishes include roasted goose strewn with caraway seeds, roasted duck with apples, and a whole ham off the bone!
While much of the food found in Prague would not be considered light, it does encourage you to indulge yourself in some great flavors that also great with Czech beers. Do the food scene right in Prague, because you only live once!
