The Mucha Museum is dedicated to an extensive collection of Czech decorative artist and painter, Alphonse Maria Mucha. The museum lies at Kaunický palác Panská 7 in Prague 1.
This is an ideal place to view the greatest creations of this magnificent artist. The museum houses more than 100 exhibits, which pay a tribute to Mucha. These are inclusive of photographs, personal memorabilia, lithographs and several drawings.
Mucha also made some posters which are famous worldwide. The best of them is the poster created for Saran Bernhardt. Mucha is one of the famous artists who worked in Art Nouveau.
Many new artists consider Mucha as their idol. The museum has put the artist's Persian sketchbooks for display. Visitors can observe the artistic talent of Mucha with these sketches.
Some of the exquisite oil paintings of Mucha can be seen in this museum. A replica of Mucha's Paris studio is kept in the museum with original furniture and photos. The museum remains open daily from 10am-6pm.
