Formerly called as the Prague 3 Municipal District, Prague 3 includes most of the cadastral area of Zizkov and parts of Vinohrady, Strasnice and Vysocany. The district has been intact since its creation in 1960. Similar to many districts in Prague, Prague 3 is socioeconomically diverse. Two of the most visible landmarks here are the National Monument and the 216 meter high Zizkov Tower, the tallest structure in Prague.
