Prague 2 was formerly known as the Prague 2 Municipal District. This second tier municipality in Prague is co-extensive with the national administrative district of the same name. It includes all of Vysehrad and parts of New Town, Nusle and Vinohrady. This district has been intact since its creation in 1960. Further, this neighborhood has the Czech national cemetery and the medieval fortress ruins.
