The Danish Music Museum is situated at Aabenraa 30, 1124 Copenhagen K. It is in the vicinity of the garden of Rosenborg Castle. It remains operational from Tuesday to Thursday from 10AM to 3PM.
The museum boasts of having the largest collection of musical instruments from across the world.
The fascinating exhibitions provide an enthralling journey through European musical instruments, emphasizing the period of the renaissance to the 20th century.
Special attractions include an amoeba-shaped violin and a giraffe piano! Many permanent exhibitions follow a particular theme such as guitars of the mid 60s, Danish rock-bands and more.
The museum also offers guided tours in 3 languages which can be booked in advance. A children-friendly exhibition, play-with-sound room, provides hands-on experience with Percussion instruments.
Other services of the museum include postcards, publication and an assortment of CDs.
